Bill’s feature: Columbia County’s Earliest Poem.  During the Revolutionary War a soldier wrote a short poem/song about the tragic American attack on Quebec.  The verse was “collected” by a Danville military leader on the back of a land survey and lay hidden in papers for over 200 years.  Now we can sing it together!

Bill Baillie – Presenter Bill Baillie is author of several books and scores of articles on Columbia County history.  A retired educator, he is past president of the Columbia County Historical & Genealogical Society.
