Theme: September to Remember (perhaps memorize a poem to recite). Lester Hirsh, former editor, publisher of Bone & Flesh literary magazine, lives in his hometown of Shenandoah, PA. He makes most of his living as a troubadour poet, performing various concert venues, as well as artist-in-school residencies, and Special Needs Audiences. He was a 1997 finalist in the Napa Valley Emerging Songwriter Contest, and a 2005 Grammy nominee for Best Spoken Word for selections from his CD, Mosaic II, Poems of An Ancient Order. And more about Lester Hirsh – Besides hosting Open Mike Poetry readings at All Things Good in Pottsville, he has also been a concert producer, allied with the Berks Bard Poets of Reading, River Poets of Bloomsburg, Stray Dogs Poets of Schuylkill County, and a staff member and performer for the Stillwater Poetry Festival. Lester holds a Bachelor of General Studies/Literature Degree. To be followed by an open reading.
