* UFO = unfinished objects
Our friends at the Exchange Gallery welcome River Poets “to write and read poems based on the exhibit UFOs. We are not limited to Unidentified Flying Objects, but rather any UN-FINISHED OBJECTS!
Our reading is scheduled for 7-8 PM on Thursday, September 15th at the Exchange, 24 East Main Street, Bloomsburg.”
The art exhibit of UFOs will be on display from August 29 to October 7. Oren invites us to stop by, peruse the art, and write a poem inspired by one or more pieces.
If stopping in to see the art in person is inconvenient, artwork will be available online shortly after the exhibit opens. We are also invited to submit artwork on the UFO theme. Contact Oren for details: 570-317-2596, 570-394-6805, or exchange@exchangearts.org
Stop in between August 29th and September 15th, 2022. Be inspired. Create a poetic work. Read it live on September 15, 2022.
Poets were recorded reading poems inspired by the Doppelgänger Exhibit. If you weren’t able to join us then, be sure not to miss this opportunity to put your poetic stamp on art from another genre or maybe out of this world.

Feature: Paul Loomis
Theme: Struck by the poetry-lightning-bolt
Late change:
Due to the chance of thunderstorms this event has been moved to the Bloomsburg Public Library Community room
The event begins at 7 pm and ends at 8:30 pm
Who threw that first poetry-bolt your way?
Lightning never strikes the same place twice, so how did you get here? What was the shape of your bolt?
Paul Loomis ~ Paul is a folksinger-songwriter, math professor, distance runner, father of two, and spender-oftime-in-the-Andes who occasionally gets struck by the poetry-lightning-bolt. He is also – evidently – a frequent hyphenator. His fourth album of original folk songs about whatever came into his head that day as he was playing the guitar should be out by August. You can read more at paulloomis.com or find his music at itunes and all those places.
