| Theme: Connecting with animals in our lives, on any level, is the theme. Since the pandemic, I have been exploring a deepened connection with animals as it expresses in poetry. Relationships with pets or wild animals, dream imagery, imaginary animals, animals used in expressions (the cat’s meow; a monkey’s uncle; dumb like a fox). Bring your poems about animals, or your favorite poet’s poems, to share—anything is fair game.” Picnic: Bring something to eat; bring your own food and beverage. Wear insect repellent. |
