Poetry never takes time off, but the River Poets requested this sabbatical.

Assignment – write a new poem in any format you choose…bonus points for rhymed and metered ones.

Bring chairs, social distancing etiquette, beverages/food if you want, bug spray, check the weather.

Theme: The epistolary of letter-writing 

An avid letter writer, Lester corresponds with a number of Pennsylvania poets. He had a 21-year correspondence with the former US Poet Laureate Donald Hall (died 2019).MC: Susan or Richard Brook

May 7, 2020 the library remains closed – Web-based activity is now planned

No more pencils no more books, no more teachers’ dirty looks...we hope to have some high school students who will share their work with us.
The library is closed and poetry is still around us.
