THEME-LESS (as an endless summer)
Bill’s feature: Columbia County’s Earliest Poem. During the Revolutionary War a soldier wrote a short poem/song about the tragic American attack on Quebec. The verse was “collected” by a Danville military leader on the back of a land survey and lay hidden in papers for over 200 years. Now we can sing it together! Poems are read and then shared with the trees. The sheet-protected paper is returned to the source with string as we ‘leave’ the poems on trees. Original poems are welcome on any subject. These and others provided may be left.
