Theme: With consideration for the date, May the Fourth Be With You. The theme for the evening is not necessarily the Force, but forces.
K.A. Hays–– Katie was born and raised in Southeastern PA, and has lived in Central PA for twenty years. She’s the author of four poetry collections, most recently Anthropocene Lullaby, published in 2022. She has also published short stories and verse translations. Her work has appeared in many venues, including Gray’s Sporting Journal, Northern Woodlands, Orion, and Best American Poetry. Her poems have been recorded in audio form by people who are much better readers than she is, including Nidia Hernández in Spanish translation for the radio show La maja desnuda; Garrison Keillor for NPR’s The Writer’s Almanac; and Ada Limón for The Slowdown podcast. Katie enjoys working with undergraduate writers at Bucknell and living in downtown Lewisburg with her husband, two kids, and a border collie who supervises them all.
