Featured Poet: Paula Closson Buck

 

THEME:  You can not shoot a poem  

Paula, Professor of English at Bucknell University, grew up in Niagara Falls, but has also lived in Italy, Greece and Cyprus. No wonder then that travel writing is one of her interests. Her new book of poems, also called You Can NOT Shoot a POEM, will be released this November. Her earlier poetry books include The Acquiescent Villa and Litanies Near Water. You can leave your arrows at home but set your sights on a great reading!

Dead Poets’ Night

THEME: Dead Poets [you know who you are]All the old poets are dead, all poets are dying, all young poets are getting old, all muses are sighing for new poets to be born.

It is a night for poets passed on, but this is very much a live reading.  Costumes and/or masks are encouraged.
