Theme - Dog days: poems more or less about that hot sluggish stretch of summer and all things languorous. Inactivity, lassitude, torpor but no pets; service dogs are okay.

Mike Heyd is a native Pennsylvanian and a graduate of Juniata College and SUNY at Geneseo. Over the years he has had one vocation — medical librarian for more than 4 decades — but many avocations, including book reviewer, editor, educator, newsletter creator, singer-songwriter, and, of course, poet, which brings us to today. |
